Transparent information about how AutoTapper uses Accessibility Service

Why We Use Accessibility Service

AutoTapper requires the Accessibility Service permission to function. This permission is necessary because it is the only way Android allows apps to simulate touch gestures (taps) on the screen programmatically.

What the Accessibility Service Does

The Accessibility Service in AutoTapper performs the following actions:

  • Performs user-configured tap gestures:When you enable automation and press Start, the service simulates a tap at the coordinates you have selected, at the interval you have configured.
  • Only when explicitly enabled:The service only performs actions when you have opened AutoTapper, configured a tap point, and pressed the Start button.
  • Stops on command:The service immediately stops performing taps when you press the Stop button or interact with the persistent notification.

What the Accessibility Service Does NOT Do

To be clear about our data practices, the Accessibility Service does NOT:

  • Read, store, transmit, or sell any screen content
  • Record your screen or take screenshots
  • Access or collect personal information, passwords, or sensitive data
  • Control your device without your explicit awareness
  • Operate on the lock screen or with the screen off
  • Provide remote access to your device
  • Perform any actions without your explicit configuration and consent

Not for Locked-Screen or Screen-Off Operation

AutoTapper is explicitly designed for screen-on, unlocked usage only. The Accessibility Service is not used to bypass lock screens, operate with the display off, or perform hidden automation. The app requires the screen to be on and the target app to be visible at all times during operation.

User Control and Revocation

You maintain full control over the Accessibility Service at all times:

  • Stop automation in-app:You can stop automation at any time by pressing the Stop button within AutoTapper.
  • Revoke permission anytime:You can disable the Accessibility Service permission from Android Settings → Accessibility → AutoTapper at any time.
  • Uninstall to remove:Uninstalling the app will completely remove all permissions and functionality.

Security and Transparency

We are committed to transparency about how AutoTapper works. The Accessibility Service is used solely for the purpose you expect: to perform automated taps at your configured location and interval. All processing happens locally on your device. No data leaves your device, and no external servers are contacted for the core functionality.

Data Handling

AutoTapper does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, screen content, or usage information. The app operates entirely offline for its core functionality. Your tap configurations are stored locally on your device and are not shared with anyone.
